GOVERNOR AMBODE GIVES 55MILLION NAIRA TO FAMILIES OF 5 POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN ISHAWO

Governor Ambode gives N55 million to families of police officers killed in Ishawo

The Governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode, today presented cheques totaling N55 million to the families of security officers who lost their lives in the Ishawo area of Ikorodu after an ambush unleashed on them by militants.

The families of four police officers that died during the operation got N10 million each, while an officer who sustained injury during the attack and still recuperating in the hospital, Sgt. Alexandra Ugadu got N5million.

A cheque of N10 million was also presented to the family of a military officer, Captain. A Mohammed who lost his life during the attack.


The gallant officers were killed after successfully rescuing kidnapped victims kept in the riverine area by the militants.

The police officers whose families benefited from the death insurance scheme of the State Government are late Inspector. Godwin Iroagbalahi, Inspector. Francis Pemi, Sgt. Mamuda Dembo and Sgt. Idor Ekoro. Way to go! God bless the governor. These officers always leave families behind and they shouldn't suffer.

Buhari is alive in London - Presidency debunks death rumour 

Garba Shehu says that nothing unpleasant has happened to President Buhari and there is no cause for apprehension

The Senior Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, reacted to the news making the rounds that the president is in serious life threatening situation. The Presidential aide said this in series of tweets, yesterday, May 14.

Rumours making the rounds are that the president is in life support as a result of the deterioration of his heath and another even more disturbing is another one that claims the president may even have died.

However, Shehu debunked the rumours, insisting that the president is well and alive. “Baseless rumors are trending again that an unpleasant thing has happened to our beloved President, Muhammadu Buhari.” “If you have received this information on WhatsApp or Facebook, disregard it because it is plain lies spread by vested interests to create panic.”
